3rd Annual Swami Vivekananda Memorial Lecture

The Consulate General of India, Durban, in partnership with the Tongaat Hindu Unity Forum, organised the 3rd Annual Swami Vivekananda Memorial Lecture.

Judge Ranjiv Nirghin delivered the keynote lecture on “Swami Vivekananda’s Influence on Law, and in particular, the Advancement of Human Rights and Social Justice.” The lecture explored the enduring relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings and their influence on the principles of justice, equality, human dignity and social responsibility.

The programme provided an opportunity to reflect on Swami Vivekananda’s vision of an inclusive and just society, while highlighting the continuing significance of his ideas in contemporary discourse on human rights and social justice.
